The Quick Weight Loss Basics

People want to always make thing complicated, and when it comes to weight loss they do the same thing.  it doesn’t help that the weight loss industry is a multi-billion dollar industry that hustles a lot of crap products to consumers.  Weight loss gadgets and gizmos, weight loss pills, celebrity diets, fad diets, celebrity fad diets, it’s no wonder people try to make weight loss complicated.  The good news is that weight loss does not need to be complicated at all.  Quick weight loss is possible and all it takes it to workout properly, and to eat right, and you’ll be well on your way to losing weight.

The first thing is to workout properly.  You can’t just run on a treadmill for hours and expect results.  Your body quickly adapts to that exercise, and without any other type of resistance, your body just becomes efficient at it and stops burning calories.  The key is to actually do some sort of resistance exercises.  Weight training is a great way to do that.  By steadily increasing the weight over time, your muscles can’t really adjust and so they continue to strengthen and tone your body. Plus, as you build up muscle you will be able to burn fat faster when you do workout and even when you aren’t working out.

But, even if you are working out properly, if you are not eating properly, then you will probably not be able to lose weight.  You don’t have to go 100% organic and vegan, but you do need to make healthier choices.  Instead of foods that are high in fat, look for low-fat or fat-free options that may taste good enough to eat.  Also, you’ll want to reduce your portions because most people eat way more per meal  than they should.  By eating 6 meals a day, 3 real meals and 3 snacks, then you’ll be able to keep your portions down, and keep your metabolism higher so that you are burning calories throughout the day.
