Business Travel Luggage Options

We all know how important luggage is when we are traveling. In order to pack smart for every travel occasion we need to have the right luggage for that. The type of travel we take can determine the type of luggage we need. If we are often traveling for business purposes we need to find a luggage option which will suit most of our needs. Business travel is often of a shorter length, two or three days maybe. This means that we do not actually need a lot of stuff to pack.

We can either choose the option of packing everything in one small trolley suitcase or we can be happy with one medium size bag for example. This can depend on the nature of our business trip. This type of trip often includes carrying a lap top with us and it is best if our luggage has a special compartment for putting the laptop. The lap top case should preferably be of some waterproof material for a better protection.

Choosing the luggage for a business trip can vary from men to women. They have different preferences. Men will be happy with choosing luggage that will emphasize their masculine nature so they may prefer leather luggage in dark colors or duffle bags to confirm their causality and sport spirit.

While for women on the other hand it is important to personalize their luggage. They would prefer bright earthly colors that give elegance and class to their luggage. Designer brands can be of a great significance to them because they often choose the brand, not the item. Diane Von Furstenberg bags are a great option for them. Style and design come first and then practicality and functionality when women are in question. They would also prefer some extra case to put their accessories such as make up and mobile phone and a purse. A set of luggage is often recommended for woman of great packing preferences.

Sightseeing At Pattaya’s Floating Market

Thailand is known as the Venice of the East due to it’s large canal system.  Long before a major road infrastructure was implemented, the major means of transportation around Bangkok was the rivers and man made canals.  Towns and homes were based on these inland waterways as was city life and travel.  Floating markets were a common sight at one time in Thailand’s history, and only a few of them are left around today.

If you venture outside of Bangkok and travel to Pattaya you will find a replica of a traditional Thai floating market.  Just recently opened in November of 2008, this wonderful tourist attraction gives a glimpse into Thailand’s past as well as views of Thai culture from around the country.

One thing that stands out at the Pattaya Floating Market is the buildings and architecture.  The buildings are crafted in the traditional designs of the four regions of Thailand.  Each house sits on a man made canal.  Visitors can either walk along the boardwalk and bridges as the explore the different areas or they can take a short boat trip down the waterway to get a much more traditional experience.

There are also a lot more on offer at the park.  You will find all types of cultural activities on display.  There are performances throughout the day where you experience more of the diverse Thai culture from the four regions.  Traditional Thai and Bangkokian Dance, and my favorite the coconut shell dance.

If you are looking to pick up a souvenir from your trip to Thailand this is a great place to browse around and do some shopping.  There are many stores selling traditional handmade craft including Thai Silk, herbs, and wood carvings.  This is the real deal, none of the mass produced junk you would get from one of the street vendors.

The park is open everyday and well worth the cost of admission.  This is sure to become one of the more popular stops for sightseeing in Pattaya.

Golf Holidays Portugal – Discovering Golf On The Algarve

In terms of golf holidays Portugal has the fine weather and range of courses to ably compete with neighboring Spain as a superb golfing destination. This review showcases the principal golfing region – the Algarve.

Generally considered a safe bet for a golf holiday Algarve, in the south, boasts the biggest selection of courses in the entire country. Indeed, many visitors could quite happily base themselves in Vilamoura, the resort town with dozens of courses within a short drive.

The Vilamoura Old Course is probably the finest course in town, famed for its mature fast running greens and scenic landscaping. Fans of the Open will also wish to play the nearby Vale Do Lobo Royal – a challenging links course with fast fairways and a course layout running parallel to a 5 km beach and a nature reserve (making for great panoramic views).

The western Algarve benefits from offshore breezes making it slightly cooler at the height of Summer and adding a dynamic element to playing the links courses. Two of the most spectacular hillside courses are Boavista and Parque Da Floresta which afford some great views while also proving a major challenge.

The real gem of the area though is the Oceanico Faldo. Nick Faldo designed a desert style course to make best use of the topology of the existing land and with the undulating fairways and fast greens it is a course that requires good course management skills rather than long driving ability.

In the eastern Algarve the climate gets a lot milder, as does the sea breezes making it an ideal spot for winter golfing breaks. The locals have some favorites that provide an enjoyable round of golf at reasonable green fees. Two prime examples are the Quinta Do Vale (design by Seve Balateros) and the Castro Marim which sports an old castle for its clubhouse.

For a real touch of class though the most famous club in the area is Monte Rei. Jack Nicklaus designed the course with 18 diverse holes with greens play fast but consistently and some great long par-4s that even long hitters will struggle to make the greens in regulation.
