Even if you think you are a great driver and have a clean driving record and a clean credit record, those things will not help that much. It may not sound fair to you, but you are going to find that most insurance companies will charge you more for your insurance policy than they charge a female in your same age group. Insurance companies have always viewed the male driver as being more aggressive in nature and these tendencies are thought to be carried over into their driving habits. These would include a male driver who doesn’t feel he needs to wear a seat belt, who believes he can drive fast and still be safe, and who feels that he can safely drink and drive.
