In this age of Internet scams and hoaxes, you’re probably doubting whether anything is still for free. But that’s just the companies’ way of putting their word out there. Consider it as their advertisement, a sales promotion, and a little extra they throw in for the customer—you.
Any way you look at it, it’s a win-win scenario for customers and companies.
But are free product samples truly for real?
- That depends on the website, of course. Do a little Googling, read around for positive feedback from customers, ask your friends. That way, you know you’re signing up for something legit.
- Never give out your credit card details. A website that purportedly says it gives away free product samples but nevertheless asks for a little something from your credit card has something fishy going on in it. In this case, you really can’t trust their claim of “free”. Find a better site then.
- Know what you want and need. Free product samples can range from baby products to pet supplies and food, to cosmetic to phone cards to knitting patterns to health products to Internet service to restaurant dishes. Just the trouble of printing the product coupons and going to the store wastes your time especially if you couldn’t care less about the product. The list is endless, so know specifically your needs.
- Lastly, don’t depend so much on such Internet freebies. Don’t be the type of customer who grabs every opportunity to get something for free, thinking they’re saving a lot from the “spectacular” deal. There’s a thin line between being savvily practical discount-hunter and being the inelegant freebie addict.
