How To Prepare For a House Cleaning Interview

No matter what job career you want to get into even if it is a casual house cleaning job, in order to get the position, you need to be prepared. Here are a few tips on how to obtain the position you are applying for.

There are several ways to obtain work in the cleaning services industry and like all traditional jobs, it begins with a great resume. Be creative but be professional at the same time, some people have a sense of humor when being interviewed but it is your resume that gets you in the door.

You might want to start looking for jobs cleaning houses by going on the internet and looking up where you can try to fill out an on-line application. For the best results, to find a cleaning position, use popular search engines. Have a file available for all the places you’ve applied to, such as name of the cleaning company, e-mail, phone number, contact and what time and date you have an interview. Also write out any questions you have about the job and bring them to the interview with you. Last but not least, find out how to get to the company before your interview and be on time. Arriving tardy for your interview does not impress anyone.

Once you get an interview, have another copy of your resume to bring to the employer. If you have e-mailed one to them, bring one along anyways as a backup. It is just another sign that you are prepared and organized for the job.

Be polite and make sure to answer all the questions, with a full answer and make sure you also have questions of your own. Do not chew gum and make sure you are appropriately dressed, it does not matter that you will be wearing casual clothing for cleaning jobs most of the time, first impressions are always fresh in the employers mind once you leave and they are always taking notes throughout the interview.
