Taking a trip out of state is becoming a more and more difficult process every year. With new TSA regulations every year, fluxuating gas prices and train lines failing, the options for travel are dwindling. Each option has a number of things to consider.
If the trip is only one or two states over, driving and interstate trains are probably the best options. A train is nice because it is pretty fast and someone else is driving the vehicle but once the destination is reached, a taxi or rental car or walking are the only ways to gt around. If you know exactly where you are going and it’s not far from the train station, that can be the most economical. Initially, the cost of a train ticket seems like more, but let us take a look at traveling in a car.
First, you have to make sure you have the best auto insurance in San Diego. Traveling out of state can be nerve wracking if you are not secure in your insurance company. Also, the cost of gas varies from gas station to station, and it is even worse from state to state. Then there is chances of breaking down, oil and coolant and transmission fluids should all be topped off, and going long distances on bald tires is just asking for an accident. Then again, a car gives freedom of travel once you reach your destination, freedom to stop when you need food or a rest room on the trip.
The last option, air travel, is better for longer trips, such as from San Diego to Florida. Ok, maybe not only that far, but still, going from Utah to Nevada does not really take an air plane. The TSA regulations and the baggage fees, however, make it expensive to fly and impossible to take some of the fun toys people like to travel with such as hand guns or knives or even knitting needles! However, it is the fastest option and possibly the most comfortable. Not to mention free drinks and snacks.
So, take a minute to consider the options and the destination, and pick your mode of travel. Get some good car insurance and no need to fear, enjoy your vacation!
