2 Money Saving Tips When Buying Mobile Printers

Looking for money nowadays is just as difficult as keeping them. It’s unavoidable that there will be times when we need to spend some money for important things. Buying a printer is one of those situations. If you cannot avoid spending money, then you should make an extra effort to look for ways where you can save some money. If you need to buy a Canon mobile printer, then look for a cheap one. There are a number of ways of getting a cheap Canon mobile printer. You just need to be aware of those things.

The first money saving tip we’re going to tackle is by shopping online. There are a lot of benefits to buying a printer online especially a Canon printer since Canon is a very popular brand. A cheap Canon mobile printer will be in a range of about $100 to $150, depending on the features. Aside from having no more queues, which save you time and actually equates to money, you will be exposed to many bargains and saving opportunities when you shop online. One good example will be clearance sales. When you’re online, you will actually have access to a broader selection of clearance products. If you go to a shop, your selection will only be limited to the ones that are overstock or overdue for a replacement.

Another saving opportunity when buying online is the “free shipping” promos. You may not save money with the actual cost of the merchandise; however, you could save money with the cost of going back and forth different stores just to look for the model you want. This may actually cost a lot especially if you don’t know what kind of model you’re looking for. This leads us to the next money saving tip.

The second saving tip is to know your printing needs. This way, you know exactly what kind of model you’ll be looking for. Imagine, if you bought a multi-functional printer and all you do is print black text, wouldn’t that be a waste of money? You are better off with buying a high impact monochrome printer.

Know what resolution you need. What resolutions are acceptable to you? Do you need to print photo quality pictures? Do you need a very high resolution? If not, there are plenty of cheap printers that have printing resolutions at 600 x 600 dpi. This resolution may not be very high compared to newer models. However, for printing black texts, 600 x 600dpi is more than enough.

What about speed? Do you really need a fast printer that can spew out 50 pages a minute? Remember that everything has its price and speed is no exception. Printers that operate at speeds higher than 30 pages per minute have higher costs since the motors they use are much more expensive. If you can live with a printer that prints at 10ppm, then 10ppm should be fine.

You must know also the printing capacity you will need. If you need to do some heavy-duty printing, make sure that the printer you are getting has a higher rating (maximum pages/month). If you’re printer has a lower rating and you keep on using it extensively, the tendency is that it will break down. If that happens, you will be left with additional repair costs, which will definitely cost you more in the long run.

Shop online and make sure you know what you’re looking for. Making an informed decision can actually save you money.
